Event Overview
The Summer Meltdown Half Marathon - Oklahoma City takes place at Wheeler Park. This event is part of the Bigfoot Running Company series and features a variety of distances held on paved trails, crushed granite, and dirt paths. The course routes navigate through local park settings, featuring shaded paths, sections alongside waterways, and rolling hills.
Participants can choose from several event options:

The Half Marathon, Quarter Marathon, and 5K events are chip-timed. Aid stations are positioned along the course to provide water and assistance. At the conclusion of the race, snacks and refreshments are provided at the finish line rally tent.
Awards include trophies for the first overall male and female finishers in the chip-timed categories, as well as master's category pins and gold, silver, and bronze pins for various age groups ranging from 10 and under to 70 and over. Participants in the Kids Dash receive a medal and a recognition pin. A professional race camera is used by the event crew to capture images during the activities.
