Trail Run with the Sun

The Trail Run with the Sun is a self-supported endurance event held in Erie, Pennsylvania. The course is situated at the Gospel Hill Golf Club, an abandoned golf course currently owned by Penn State Behrend. Participants navigate a loop of approximately 2.25 miles that features a variety of natural surfaces.

The terrain consists of grass, mud, and gravel paths. The environment includes open fields, areas of shade, wildflowers, and local wildlife. Due to the nature of the landscape, the course contains a side-hill section and several hills, including one steep descent.

Available distances:

  • 2.25 mile loops (multi-lap)

The event is designed as a personal endurance challenge where participants may complete as many laps as they choose between sunrise and sunset on the longest Saturday of the year. Half of the registration proceeds are donated to the Behrend Cross Country program. As a self-supported run, participants are responsible for their own personal needs throughout the day.
