Tour de Trail: Shawnee Mission Park North

Tour de Trail: Shawnee Mission Park North is a trail 10k stage held at Shawnee Mission Park with start/finish and packet pickup at the top of Ogg Road. The event is part of a six-race Tour de Trail series; individual stages are approximately 10K in length and may range from about 5.5 to 6.5 miles depending on trail conditions.

Registration for a single race is listed at $50, with $5 from each entry donated to Urban Trail Co. Race day registration is available at a higher fee and accepts cash, check, Venmo, or card via Venmo. A Trail Mix Fund fee waiver option is available for participants who need financial assistance.

Timing is by clock and results will be posted after the event. The race uses distinctive flagging for course marking and a pre-race briefing will explain the route. Aid stations provide water only; this is a cupless event so participants must supply their own hydration device such as a handheld or vest. Cold fizzy water, soda, and light snacks are available at the finish.

Event rules require packing out trash, no poles except by medical exemption, no alcohol in county parks, and leashed dogs with cleanup required. Personal music devices are allowed with headphones at a safe volume. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult for the entire race. Each stage awards first through third place in woman, man, and non-binary categories and all finishers receive a handmade award specific to that stage.
