Tough Mountain Challenge is a 5K obstacle race held at Sunday River in Newry, Maine on July 25, 2026. The course runs through mountain terrain and includes mud, water, walls, woods, and a series of obstacles.

For 2026 the course adds two new obstacles. The event weekend includes an evening slopeside gathering called the Big Ass Bash on the Friday before the race, with live music and beer tents at South Ridge.
