Tough Mountain Challenge is an obstacle-course event taking place on July 25, 2026 at Sunday River Resort in Newry, Maine (15 South Ridge Road, 04261). The event runs multiple waves of a 5K obstacle course across the day.

A six-race trail series across Oxford Hills preserves from May to October, with each course about 3.1 Miles. Season preregistration is $72, single races $15, and student races are $5 each.

A mountain trail race from the Mount Washington Cog Railway base to the summit in Bretton Woods, NH, with a 2.75-mile summit option (train descent) or a 5.5-mile roundtrip.

Two trail race options in Chatham, NH that cross the Baldfaces and include exposed ledges and steep climbs. Runners must carry mandatory mountain gear and meet experience qualifications.
