Tough as Nails Urban Challenge
The Tough as Nails Urban Challenge presented by The Health Plan is a five mile event with more than 20 obstacles held in downtown Wheeling, WV on May 30, 2027. It is described as an all-round physical and mental test for people aged 16 and older.
The course runs through urban terrain and includes features such as abandoned cars, flood walls, constructed obstacles, and steep inclines. The event format uses timed heats that depart at regular intervals; each heat has 175 participants and available slots are limited. There are no competitive prizes listed.
Packet pickup is available in advance and on race morning at the WesBanco Arena lobby. Parking is available at the Intermodal Center Parking Garage, 1401 Main St, Wheeling, adjacent to WesBanco Arena and the starting area. Participants receive a wicking shirt, a medal, and a drink ticket for the postrace gathering.
