Tooele Turkey Trail Trot 'Til You Drop - November 29, 2025

The event is a loop-based trail race held in Tooele, UT on Bates Canyon Road. Competitors run repeated laps of 3.5 miles with about 700 ft of elevation gain per lap. A new lap begins every hour and runners must complete each lap in under one hour to remain in the field; the last official finisher within the allotted lap time is eliminated each lap. The race can run for up to ten laps, and laps are run in alternating directions.

Course and logistics

Each lap follows a marked route that climbs from Bates Canyon Road, includes a section called "Kill Hill," a split-rail fence segment, a hairpin onto double-track, and a wooded descent known as the "BBC" trail before returning to the Start/Finish Area. The Start/Finish Area provides basic ultra event food and drink; participants may bring their own food and use a parked vehicle at the area to store clothing or gear. Prizes are awarded to the top three men and top three women. Registration closes on November 27, 2025 at 11:59 PM MT. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
