The 5 Mile follows a loop through the Tradition Plateau with less elevation. Aid stations are placed along the courses with volunteers, food, and hydration. The event is cupless; all runners must carry a refillable container. The Kids Race is about 0.5 miles, mostly paved singletrack and sidewalk, and is flat. Trails remain open to other users during the event.
