Three Blind Mice 50K

Three Blind Mice 50K/25K : Penticton, BC

The event starts and finishes at the Poplar Grove Road parking lot just outside Penticton and uses the Three Blind Mice trail network. The trails are mostly single track with some technical sections and some flowy sections, maintained by PACA.

Distances offered:

  • 25K approximately 3400 ft elevation gain
  • 50K approximately 7000 ft elevation gain

After a short 500 m on the KVR, runners follow Riddle Road into the Mice. All runners complete a loop using Southern Dancer, Bronco, Rainbow, Neverland and Yellow Brick Road. 25K runners finish after that loop. 50K runners continue into a second loop using Marmot, Tripod, Sidewinder, Rusty Muffler, Corral, Fred and Slabs.

All registration fees will be donated to Penticton Search and Rescue. All finishers receive a medal. Runners registered by July 1 receive a t shirt and all runners get a race souvenir. Aid is provided from two main stations at Rusty Muffler (around 14K) and Pearly Gates (around 24K). Aid stations will supply water, electrolyte drink, gels, fruit, PB&J sandwiches, pickles and other items. The race is cupless; runners should carry a reusable cup.

Required gear: the ability to carry at least 1 L of water. Drop bags are allowed for 50K runners and will be transported to Pearly Gates. Cut offs are six hours for the 25K and eleven hours for the 50K. Parking near the start is limited to about 30 spots. A post race BBQ is planned with vegetarian and vegan options. Fat Dog 120 runs multiple trail distances in southwestern British Columbia, highlighted by an approximately 124 mile point to point course with about 8 000 meters of elevation gain. Maps and GPX files are provided for all routes.

Trail races on the Kettle Valley Railway Trail in Kelowna with approximate distances of 21 km, 10 km and 5 km. The event is limited to 200 participants and includes sponsor prizes and snacks.

A 7.4K loop trail race in Summerland BC on 20 September 2026 with about 100 m of elevation. It is the first race in the Interior Running Association Trail Race Series.

Trail runs and family friendly races at Wilden near Kelowna on October 3, 2026, with 10K, 5K, dog and kids categories. Proceeds support the Wilden Legacy Fund for Youth Mental Health.
