Wild One Run in Wilden's backcountry

Wild One Run takes place on October 3, 2026 in Wilden's backcountry near Kelowna. The event raises funds and awareness for youth mental health; all proceeds go to the Wilden Legacy Fund, established with the KGH Foundation to strengthen mental health support in the Okanagan Valley and beyond.

The day offers multiple participation options and on-site services. Registrants for the 5K and 10K receive a technical bandana. Every participant receives a finisher medal and trophies are awarded to top three finishers in certain categories. A kid's zone provides activities such as a bouncy castle and face painting. A fuel station supplies snacks before and after the run, and a complimentary hot beverage is available. Running health support and first aid are provided on the trails. Dogs are welcome on the 5K, and a dog run includes goodies and prizes for top dog finishers.
