Thetford 24 hour
Thetford 24 hour is a timed loop event held at High Lodge Thetford Forest on a flat, fast and scenic Backyard route. Participants may compete alone, as a pair, or as a team of up to four runners and choose one of three timed formats.
- 24 hours - solo, pair or team up to four
- 12 hours - solo, pair or team up to four
- 6 hours - solo, pair or team up to four
Only full laps count. The course includes a transition/handover zone for chip changes, food access and rest between timed laps. Timing will be provided by Timing Monkey. Trophies are awarded to winners in each category and race, and all finishers receive a bespoke wooden medal.
Facilities on site include a basic food tent with hot and cold drinks and snacks, portable toilets, and a camping area where runners may use small tents or teams may use a gazebo. There is no power on site and no on-field rubbish facilities; participants should bring powerbanks and take rubbish home. Stoves and fires are not permitted on site.
Entries are limited to 150 total and close two weeks before the event. A discounted advance parking booking is available at £12 per car; standard site charges apply otherwise. Runners must be age 18 or over. Guided runners are allowed free but are not eligible for awards unless entered as competitors. Crew numbers are limited.
