High Lodge 16k Guided Trail Run - December
This is a guided trail run at High Lodge in Thetford Forest, Brandon, Suffolk (IP27 0AF). The route covers 16k of woodland trails. Guides share facts about the local forest and offer practical tips on trail running while leading groups at a conversational pace. Participants are placed in groups with runners of similar ability.
The terrain is mostly flat with a couple of small hills where hill-running advice will be given. Surfaces include hard-packed trails and single-track woodland trails. Trail shoes are recommended but road shoes are acceptable. Runners should bring at least 500ml of water and any snacks they need. The session is planned to allow about 2.5 hours, subject to group ability. There is parking at High Lodge; attendees are charged £3 for parking. The event fee is £17.50.
