High Lodge 10K Guided Trail Run - December
This event is a guided group trail run of 10 km held at High Lodge in Thetford Forest, Brandon, Suffolk. The run takes place on 27 December 2026 and has an entry fee of £12.50; attendees parking will be charged £3.
The route uses miles of woodland trails with a mix of hard-packed paths and single-track through the woods. The terrain is described as mostly flat with very few obstacles, and there is potential to spot wildlife along the way.
Runs are led at a conversational pace. Participants are asked for a rough recent 5k, 10k, or half-marathon time when registering so organisers can place them in groups of similar ability, but the event is not run as a race and group pace may be slower than a participant’s usual pace. Organisers allow up to two hours for the session, though actual duration will depend on the abilities of attendees.
The run is classed as easy and is intended for people who have been running on the road and are taking their first steps into trail running or who want a relaxed trail outing. Recommended kit includes trail shoes where possible, a waterproof jacket, sun cream if needed, at least 500 ml of water and snacks. Entries open soon.
