The South Hams Ultra is a multi-distance trail event in South Hams, Devon, scheduled for 10 and 11 October 2026. Distances on offer are:

Entry is open to entrants aged 18 and over. The event is based at Mothecombe car park, Flete Estate, Plymouth PL8 1LB.
Route, cut-offs and logistics
The course largely follows the South Hams Way and uses public rights of way, bridleways, coastal paths, and parts of Dartmoor National Park. The full route circumnavigates South Hams in an anti-clockwise direction and includes five estuaries and a ferry crossing that is paid for by the organisers for runners who show their race number. The 44 mile starts at Old Town Mill in Totnes; the marathon starts at Old School Community Centre in South Brent. All races finish at Mothecombe on the Flete Estate.
Cut-offs and total ascent are specified for each distance: 100 miles - 35 hours, ascent 4890 m; 44 miles - 14 hours, ascent 1947 m; Marathon - 8 hours, ascent 1183 m. There will be a minimum of seven checkpoints for the 100 mile race, four for the 44 mile and three for the marathon. Included services: GPS trackers, marshals, professional first aid, insurance, parking, bag drop, bespoke finisher medals and category prizes. A recommended kit list includes a map or GPS, water-resistant clothing, 500 ml minimum water container, head torch and spare batteries, suitable off-road shoes, mobile phone and £20 cash.
