The South Hams Ultra is a multi-distance trail event in South Hams, Devon, scheduled in October 2026. Distances offered:

Route, cut-offs and support

All routes use public rights of way, bridleways and coastal paths and traverse parts of Dartmoor National Park and five estuaries. The full route circumnavigates South Hams in an anti-clockwise direction and follows the South Hams Way for most of the distance. Key route features include tidal crossings, a ferry crossing paid for by the organiser, and sections on the Dart Valley Way, Two Moors Way and the Erme Plym trail.

Cut-offs and total ascent:

  • 100 miles: cut-off 35 hours; ascent 4,890 m.
  • 44 miles: cut-off 14 hours; ascent 1,947 m.
  • Marathon: cut-off 8 hours; ascent 1,183 m.
