The Revolution
The Revolution is a new trail running event held on July 11, 2026 at Putnam Memorial State Park in Redding, CT. The event uses a measured 1.776 mile loop, a reference to the signing date of the Declaration of Independence, run repeatedly as part of timed race formats.
Participants choose from three timed formats: 12 hour, 6 hour, or 3 hour events. Competitors complete as many laps of the 1.776 mile circuit as they can within their chosen time window. The loop runs on mostly carriage roads with a few short sections of singletrack and passes historic features within the park. The terrain is described as fairly gentle.
Aid at the start and finish provides water, electrolyte drink, and typical race food items. The race operates a cupless policy so runners must carry their own hydration bottle, pack, or cup. Race entries are nontransferable and entry fees are nonrefundable. The course will be marked and runners are expected to follow the marked route and respect other trail users. Port a johns are available near the start and finish.
Awards include a specially designed finisher medal and podium awards for the top three overall male and female finishers in each event. The venue is a historic Revolutionary War encampment site managed as Putnam Memorial State Park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
