The Next Loop: Endurance Series - Pinnacle Mountain

The Next Loop Endurance Series at Pinnacle Mountain is a loop based trail event held on a clearly marked 3.1 mile (5K) loop in Pinnacle Mountain State Park, Roland, AR. Runners start a new lap on the hour and may complete as many laps as they wish; each finished loop counts toward the runner's total distance and time.

The course follows natural terrain and repeats each hour, offering variety as laps accumulate. Loop timing is recorded for each circuit so runners can track performance trends across hours. Final results rank entrants by number of loops completed and combined total time.

Distances measured through completed loops:

  • 1 loop = 5K (3.1 miles)
  • 2 loops = 10K
  • 4 loops = Half Marathon
  • 9 loops = Marathon
  • 10 loops = 50K

There are no DNFs, missed cutoffs, or timeouts that cancel completed loops; participants stop when they choose and completed laps remain official. An aid station is available at the central base area before each loop to provide hydration and basic nutrition, and the central format makes midrace support and crew assistance straightforward.

Practical details included in the event listing note a flat entry fee of $100 and the location at 9600 Hwy 300, Roland, AR 72135. Registration closes November 4. The series is produced by EverFurther Events and uses a loop based model rather than fixed distance entries. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
