The Minty Miler takes place on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 1336 State Route 903, Jim Thorpe, PA 18229. The event includes two entries: The Minty Miler Run and The Minty Miler Walk. Course, format, support, and awards
The race is an accurately timed, one-hour format: participants run as far as they can within the one hour limit and must complete full laps for them to count. Professional timing is provided by Pioneer Timing. The course is a closed gravel path around Penn Forest Park, a 0.87 mile loop with 21 ft of elevation gain and loss per lap, and no traffic on the path. An aid station at the start/finish will offer water, hot chocolate, snacks, and minty treats.
Awards are given to top male and female finishers and to male and female age group winners for both runners and walkers. Age groups are: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-18, 19-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 61-70, and 71+. Swag includes a custom mug while supplies last, age group ornament awards, and overall winner awards. A portion of proceeds will be donated to the Jim Thorpe Cross Country Team and the Palmerton Swim Team. The event runs rain, snow, or shine.
