Distances
- 5K run or walk with dog.
- 10K run or walk with dog (two laps of the 5K course).
- The Mighty Mile for senior dogs.
Walkers and their dogs must walk the entire 5K course. Walk participants receive a finisher medal and a dog tag. Additional dogs may accompany a walker for a fee; each additional dog receives a dog tag and a doggie goody bag.
Runners and their dogs must run safely and avoid entangling other dogs. Runners and their dogs receive a finisher medal and a dog tag. Both runners and walkers pass a single aid station located at the half way point of each 5K lap.
Aid stations provide cold water, a FLUID electrolyte beverage, Hammer energy gels for athletes, and water for dogs. Listening devices such as MP3 players, iPods, and headphones are not allowed during the Mighty Dog 5K. Participants must exercise caution when crossing roads and on the trails.
Divisions are Small Dog (up to 25 lbs), Medium Dog (26 to 60 lbs), Large Dog (61 lbs and over), and Cani Cross (run harness). Awards are given for first through third place in each division for the 5K and 10K runs; there are also awards for top runners without dogs.
Entry fees vary by distance and registration date, with an extra dog fee listed. TBF Racing maintains a no refund policy; refunds requested before race week are issued as race credit minus a $25 processing fee. Transfers between TBF events are allowed within one year for a $25 fee. All events are held rain or shine. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
