The Maverick Dark Castle Trail is a night trail running event held at Corfe Castle, Corfe, Wareham, Dorset on 21 November 2026. The course starts from the Corfe Castle venue and runs in the dark across local commons, ridges and woodland. The terrain includes muddy and tight single-track sections, some hard-packed or road sections, woodland and open heath. Runners may see local wildlife such as herds of Sika deer and distant views including Poole Harbour.

The Long route has one outpost at approximately 6.5 km. There are no outposts on the Middle or Short routes. Outpost supplies are for top-ups only and include snacks, gels and electrolyte drink; there are no pre-filled water cups. Runners should bring a reusable cup or bottle for the self-serve water barrels. There are no toilets on the route; toilets are available in the start/finish area. The event is not dog-friendly. Headphones are not permitted. The car park is a 15-20 minute walk from the main venue area. The event features a fully marked course, timed results, event photography, food and drink at the venue, a bag drop area and a metal finisher medal. Trail runs nearby

Experience moonlit trail running under headtorch on a scenic 10 km loop at Moors Valley Country Park, with the choice of one, two or three laps. Enjoy fluorescent markers and a Trees Not Tees option to plant a tree instead of a medal.

Run along Bournemouth seafront with sea views from the Isle of Wight to Old Harry Rocks on a largely flat, traffic free course. Choose 10 miles or 10 km and enjoy chip timing, a finisher medal and post race refreshments.

Take on the New Forest Stinger, a 10 mile off road trail around Ocknell Campsite in Fritham. Enjoy club camaraderie, a finisher medal, goody bag and age trophies in a limited field of trail fans.

Night orienteering in Brockenhurst: a 60 minute score event in the New Forest. Visit as many controls as you can for points using SIAC timing and waterproof maps, and bring high visibility clothing and lights for after dark navigation.
