The Maverick Dark Castle Trail at Corfe Castle

The event is a night trail run based at Corfe Castle in Dorset. Routes start from the historic castle and pass through the village of Corfe, across Corfe Common and towards Church Knowle before climbing the ridge at Knowle Hill with views across Purbeck and distant lights of Poole Harbour. The Long and Middle routes continue to Stone Hill Down and through tight singletrack near Blue Poole.

Trail surfaces are a mix of soft, muddy sections typical for November and some hard-packed or road sections. Woodland and open heath along the courses are home to Sika deer. The Long route has one outpost at about 7 km offering snacks, gels and electrolyte drink; the Middle and Short routes have no outpost. There are no toilets on the run routes; toilets are available in the start and finish area. A car park is located a 15 to 20 minute walk from the main venue. The event provides fully marked courses, timing, online results, photography, food and drink at the venue, bag drop and a metal finisher medal. The event is not dog friendly. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult.

An obstacle 5k at Baiter Park in Poole on 30 May 2026, the Pretty Muddy event combines climbing, crawling and sliding while raising funds for Cancer Research UK. Waves run every 15 minutes and participants must be 13 or older.

Midweek chip timed trail races at the Blue Pool nature reserve in Dorset with 7 mile and 3 mile routes through woodland and ridge views. Race entry includes access for one adult and up to two children.

A 140 km coastal endurance run along the Jurassic Coast from near Charmouth to Shell Bay in Studland. Around 100 participants follow a route including a full circumnavigation of Portland with checkpoint support roughly every 10 km.

A 13.1 mile coastal half marathon around the Isle of Portland on 6 June 2026, featuring exposed clifftop sections and mixed terrain. The event includes GPS tracking, a checkpoint at Portland Bill and compulsory safety kit.
