About the race

The Doomsday Run takes place at Charborough Estate in Bere Wood, Dorset on 29 November 2026. It is a trail race routed through roughly 600 acres of ancient woodland with dense canopy and sections that feel low in light. Distances available:

  • 10K single loop
  • Half marathon double loop
  • Half marathon relay two runners each complete a single loop

The route is raw and varied with woodland tracks, uneven ground, rooted sections, seasonal mud and coarse underfoot including ruts. Elevation is moderate to significant across the loops with one aid station on the course; the aid station offers vegan and gluten free options. A GPX file is issued to participants ahead of the event and chip timing provides live results.

Race HQ is a covered base with toilets, hot and cold drinks, first aid and space to gather before and after the run. Event services include marshals, first aid and chip timing. Mandatory kit includes a mobile phone and a reusable cup; recommended items list water, a foil blanket, extra layer, snacks, GPS watch, whistle, gloves and a hat or buff. The event is rated 4 out of 5 for difficulty and trail shoes are recommended. Minimum age is 18. Entries are non refundable; transfers and name changes are handled under the event policies.
