The Hoot Half Marathon & 10k Trail Race

The Hoot takes place on September 6 at the Rocks and Roots Trail in Alum Creek State Park near Lewis Center, Ohio. The event is organized by Fleet Feet Columbus and lists entry fees that vary by registration date. Registrations are non refundable and bib transfers are not permitted.

  • Half Marathon using both north and south loops plus an additional 0.7 mile

The course starts just off Hollenback Road, just south of the dog park at Alum Creek. The race route uses a north loop run first in a clockwise direction for the initial 10K, followed by a south loop run counter clockwise for the next 10K, then an additional roughly 0.7 mile loop to complete the Half Marathon. Organizers note that the course layout is subject to change.

Packet pickup is available before race week at Fleet Feet Sports in Lewis Center on the Friday and Saturday of race week during normal business hours; packet pickup is also offered at the race site on race day.
