Course, timing, rules, and charity

The course surface includes grass, dirt, rocks, roots, gravel, pavement, and mixed climbs and descents. A quarter-mile uphill starts each lap and a feature called "The Bowl" appears near mile 1.5; the route exits The Bowl via a steep incline. Direction will be marked with lawn signs, pink flagging tape, and cone signs; participants are instructed not to follow existing trail markings. Timing uses an RFID system and lap completion is recorded. There is a strict 8-hour cutoff (4.07 mph). An aid station at the start/finish will offer drinks, snacks, hydration, and first aid but no prepared food; there are no aid stations on the course. Runners may carry personal supplies. Spectators are allowed; on-course pacers are not permitted. The organizer notes potential for snow and intends the race to proceed unless Monmouth County parks declares conditions unsafe due to lightning or heavy snow. All proceeds benefit MissionCleanWater, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on long-term clean water systems, including monthly inspections and 24-hour emergency response.
