The Governor Backyard Ultra

The Governor Backyard Ultra is a unique endurance running event held at HMP Hellfire, the world's first and only backyard ultra inside a prison. Participants, referred to as "prisoners," must complete a 4.167-mile loop every hour until only one remains, earning the coveted Governor's Pardon. The event is scheduled for four dates in 2024, with an age limit of 18 years and over. Entry fees vary for members and non-members, and the event includes a fully marked route, medical support, and a trophy for the last person standing.
