The Gambler Last Man Standing

Pelham, United States • 28 Feb 2026

The Gambler Last Man Standing is a unique lap-style ultramarathon held at Oak Mountain State Park in Pelham, Alabama. Participants run repeated 2-mile loops, each to be completed within 40 minutes to avoid elimination. Every successful lap earns a poker chip worth $1, which can be cashed out at specific milestones from 10 to 100 miles, or runners can choose to continue gambling on themselves.

After 100 miles, time limits decrease, and no more chips are earned or cashed out. The course features mostly trails with some road sections and scenic lake views, with an elevation gain of 183 feet per loop. The event offers aid stations, swag for milestones, and a cash prize for the last runner standing. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
