The Freedom 50
Buckley, United States • 23 May 2026
Course Overview
The Freedom 50 is an ultramarathon event held on the Foothills Trail near Puyallup, Washington. It offers two distances on a paved pathway: a 50-mile race and a 50k race. Both courses are described as fast and flat with minimal elevation change. The event takes place over Memorial Day weekend.
The 50-mile course starts in downtown Puyallup and goes towards the edge of Enumclaw. Runners cross the new White River bridge. The first half has a gradual ascent, while the return leg has a gentle decline. Aid stations are available eight times along the route, plus one at the finish. One notable aid station is at the Veterans Monument in Memorial Park, Buckley.
The 50k course shares the same start and follows the Foothills Trail towards South Prairie. It features four fully stocked aid stations (two out and two back).
