The Feighan Fury Race and Fun Run

The Feighan Fury Race and Fun Run is a multi-terrain running event organized by South West Road Runners and Exe Valley Rotary Club. The event takes place in the rolling hills of mid Devon, primarily utilizing private estates and rural landscapes. The headquarters for the event is Templeton Village Hall in Tiverton.

There are two primary distances available for participants:

  • 10 mile trail race following TRA rules.
  • 5 km fun run and walk.

The 10 mile course consists of approximately 70% off-road terrain, including woods, trails, and river crossings. Participants in this distance navigate a total ascent of 637 meters. A four-hour cut-off time is in place for the longer race. The event is cupless, requiring runners to provide their own drinking containers, though three water stations are positioned along the route with water also available at the finish line.

Facilities at the event headquarters include a cafe serving hot food and drinks, toilet facilities, and a first aid team. Due to limited parking at the village hall, car sharing is encouraged. Participants in the 10 mile race receive a technical event vest if registered before the specified deadline, while those in the 5 km distance receive an event medal. The event is gender-inclusive, with prize categories categorized as female or open/male. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
