The Dorset Doddle

The Dorset Doddle follows the coastal path from Weymouth to Swanage, covering about 32 miles along varied coastal scenery. The route includes some steep climbs and coastal terrain that require appropriate footwear and preparation. A 12 hour time limit applies to complete the course.

The event uses clearly described checkpoints where drinks are available and some checkpoints offer light snacks. Participants are advised to carry their own food and drink for the route. A meal is provided at the finish.

Organisers offer a prebooked coach transfer from Swanage to Weymouth on the morning of the event for an additional charge of £13. Coach spaces are limited and must be reserved in advance. The designated start point is the Jubilee Clock on Weymouth Esplanade and the finish is at All Saints Church Hall near the Swanage coach area.

Entries are limited to 250 participants, with a waiting list once full. The minimum entry age is 16; entrants under 18 must have parental consent and be accompanied by a named adult and may be subject to additional conditions. Runners are accepted.

The full route map is identified as OL15 but is not compulsory. A route description will be available to download from the organiser’s website about ten days before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
