The Dorset Doddle

The Dorset Doddle follows the coastal path from Weymouth to Swanage, covering about 32 miles of coastline. The route passes over notable coastal scenery and includes several steep climbs. The event has a 12 hour time limit and accepts runners.

The start location is the Jubilee Clock on Weymouth Esplanade and the finish is at All Saints Church Hall near Swanage. Organisers provide coaches from Swanage to Weymouth on the morning of the event for an additional charge of £13; coach places must be pre-booked and are limited. The route map OL15 covers the course but is not compulsory. Checkpoints along the route offer drinks and some offer light snacks; participants are advised to carry their own food and drink. A meal is provided at the finish.

Entries are limited to 250 with a waiting list once full. The minimum age for entrants is 16. Entrants under 18 must obtain parental consent and be accompanied by a named adult; other conditions may apply. A downloadable route description will be made available from the organisers shortly before the event. Entry fees are listed as £14 for LDWA members and £24 for non members.
