Dartmoor Full Circle 100

The Dartmoor Full Circle 100 is an official 100 mile circumnavigation of Dartmoor that follows the waymarked Dartmoor Way walking route. The route skirts the periphery of the northern and southern moor, passing woodland, riverside trails, green lanes, quiet country lanes, open moorland and a range of moorland villages and landmarks. The course is a continuous non stop race and requires competitors to visit six indoor checkpoints to record completion.

The route covers substantial climbing and varied underfoot conditions, with over 4000 metres of ascent and sections described as rocky, tussocky and boggy. The event takes place in late autumn and includes a night section; weather can be cold and wet and may include snow. Competitors are monitored by GPS tracking devices for safety.

Entry standards and compulsory kit are enforced. The 100 mile event is for experienced ultra runners only and acceptance requires proof of a qualifying 50 mile finish within the specified period. Mandatory kit is inspected at registration and includes full waterproof body cover, a headtorch with spare batteries, warm clothing, means to carry fluid and emergency food. The event offers on route hot food and refreshments at indoor checkpoints, professional medical cover, GPX route files, GPS trackers and bespoke finisher recognition.
