The Backland

The Backland is a unique last-man-standing trail race held near the Texas-Oklahoma border. Participants must complete a 4.5-mile loop within one hour, with the race continuing until only one runner remains. All finishers receive a long sleeve shirt and a beverage. The race takes place at Walnut Creek Resort & Marina, offering camping and cabin accommodations for out-of-town participants.
