The 25th Hour Endurance Run

The 25th Hour Endurance Run is a 25-hour timed trail event held at Camp Grier in Old Fort, North Carolina. Participants run repeated laps of a scenic loop that passes Jarrett Creek, Copper Ridge, and Camp Grier Lake. Each lap measures 3.6 miles and includes about 600' of elevation gain. The course combines single-track trail, gravel, and a grassy lakeside loop where the official aid station and timing tent are located.

Runners are ranked by the number of complete laps finished within the 25 hours; partial laps are not counted. Electronic timing with chip-enabled bibs is used. Pacers are permitted after the ten-hour mark. The grassy lakeside field is available for tent camping at no charge; RVs are not accommodated. Space along the course may be used for personal aid stations, and a central tented aid station provides food, water, and some vegetarian options. Lodging options are available through Camp Grier.

Event rules note that pets are not permitted on property and open fires are not allowed; a campfire at the start/finish may occur if weather permits. Participants are expected to pack out their trash and respect shared spaces. Awards include milestone recognitions at 25, 50, and 75 miles and handcrafted awards for top finishers.
