The 25th Hour Endurance Run

The 25th Hour Endurance Run is a 25 hour timed trail event held at Camp Grier in Old Fort, NC on the last day of Daylight Saving Time. Runners circle a 3.6 mile loop that passes Jarrett Creek, Copper Ridge, and Camp Grier Lake. Each loop has about 600 feet of elevation gain.

The course combines single track trail, gravel, and a grassy loop near the lake. The grassy area near the lake houses the official aid station and the timing tent. Timing will be chip based and managed by a professional timing crew. Runners are ranked by the number of complete laps finished within the event period; partial laps are not counted and ties are broken by the elapsed time of the last completed lap. Runners may exit the course but must reenter at the same location they left.

A large main aid station is located in tent city next to the start and finish area, with an additional water station each lap. The main station is stocked with typical ultramarathon food and offers vegetarian options. Tent camping in the grassy field is free and an area will be available for personal aid stations. Lodging is available through Camp Grier on the property or nearby.

Pacers are allowed after the 10 hour mark. Pets are not permitted on Camp Grier property and open fires are not allowed. Awards include milestone recognitions at 25, 50, and 75 miles and prizes for the top three male and top three female finishers. No transfers or refunds will be given to new entrants after July 31, 2026. Registration closes October 24 at 11:59 PM ET. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
