The 25th Hour Endurance Run is a 25 hour timed trail event held at Camp Grier in Old Fort, North Carolina on October 31, 2026. Runners complete repeated laps of a 3.6 mile loop that combines single-track trail, gravel and a grassy lakeside section. Each lap has about 400 feet of elevation gain. Partial laps are not counted; ranking is by number of complete laps with ties broken by elapsed time of the last completed lap. Professional timing using chip-enabled bibs is used.
The grassy area near the lake serves as the official aid station and timing tent. A main aid station in the tent field is stocked with typical ultra food, a separate water-only station is available each lap, and vegetarian options are provided. The grassy field is available for tent camping at no charge; RV space is not available. Lodging options are offered through the Camp Grier property for those seeking bunks, rooms or cabins.
Event rules note that pacers are permitted after the ten hour mark, pets are not allowed on property, and open fires are prohibited. Milestone awards are presented at set distances including 25, 50 and 75 miles, and handcrafted awards are given to top finishers in male, female and age-group categories.
