Texmas Trail Race at Buescher State Park
Texmas Trail Race is a multi-distance trail event held over December 12 and 13 at Buescher State Park in Smithville, Texas. The event limits entries to 500 runners and includes packet pickup beginning December 12.

The course uses narrow paths and single-track trails with some smaller inclines and rocky sections. Each loop on the course has about 450 ft of elevation gain and descent. The 104k is organized as multiple loops; shorter distances use fewer loops.
Aid support includes two full aid stations located at roughly 3.12 miles and at the start/finish area. Stations are stocked with drinks, sodas, sweets, salty items, sandwiches and rolls, fruit, medical supplies (no NSAIDs), and evening foods such as quesadillas, soups and ramen. The event operates cupless aid stations; runners should bring reusable bottles or hydration systems. A single drop bag area is provided at the main aid station.
Logistics note the park has parking for about 100 cars and a shuttle runs from Rocky Hill Ranch about four miles away. Camping is available at Buescher State Park and nearby Bastrop State Park. Shirts are provided for all distances except the 104k for which hoodies are offered. Awards include top placings by distance and categories and engraving is available near the finish area.
Rules summary: pacers are permitted only in the 104k solo event after completion of loop five and must follow event waiver and bib requirements; crew access is restricted to the main aid area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
