Telluride Foundation Rundola

The Telluride Foundation Rundola is an uphill foot race held as part of Telluride Fourth of July activities. The 16th edition benefits the Good Neighbor Fund, which provides one-time hardship grants for local residents with urgent needs.

The race follows a single approved course via the Telluride Trail from the base of the gondola in Telluride to the top of San Sophia ridge. The trail section used is 4,600 feet long, 40 feet wide, with a 13% grade and an elevation gain of 1,810 feet. The listed distance is 0.8 Miles.

Registration is open to anyone who registers and wears a race bib; no dogs are permitted. Categories are by age group and gender: 13 years and under; 14-18; 19-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; 80 and over. Medals are awarded to the top three in each category, and fastest overall woman and man receive a grand prize. Podium and a post-race breakfast are held at Oak.

Bibs and t-shirts are available for pick up under the white Telluride Foundation tent at Oak Street Gondola Plaza (250 San Juan Ave) on Thursday, July 2 and Friday, July 3. San Juan Solstice 50 Mile Run on June 20, 2026 uses MAProgress live tracking; entry was by lottery with 300 registered and 285 on the waitlist. All runners must carry a registered tracker which can be owned, borrowed, or rented.

A rugged, mostly off-trail 50k around Silverton, CO, with about 19,000 ft of ascent and a roughly 19-hour cutoff. Entry is limited and restricted to club members with proven mountain navigation experience.

Trail Town Ten in Ridgway features a 10 mile lollipop course with San Juan Mountain views and a 5 mile out-and-back on the same dirt roads. The event is coordinated with Ridgway RiverFest and benefits the Uncompahgre Watershed Partnership.

A 100-mile loop in the San Juan Mountains near Silverton Colorado featuring about 66,500 feet of total elevation change and alpine terrain. The event publishes runner and volunteer manuals and supports local organizations.
