Stations are on average 8 plus miles apart and the longest gap is about 10.6 miles. Organizers recommend carrying at least 40 ounces of water and food for three to four hours between stations.
Safety and entry requirements include a required safety kit carried on course, qualifying criteria for 100 mile entrants based on recent long trail races, and a trail work or donation requirement of one day of trail work or a minimum $100 donation within the prior 12 months. Vehicles must display a Northwest Forest Pass at the race location near Salmon La Sac Sno Park. Finish cutoff policies allow official finishing times if aid station cutoffs are met even when the finish cutoff is exceeded. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
