Tavistock Athletic Club stages the Tavy 7 on 26 October 2025 on lanes around Dartmoor near Tavistock. The race distance is 7 miles and the route starts at Plaster Down, passing Pew Tor and the hamlet of Sampford Spiney. The event includes the Ross Shield competition for Devon AA affiliated clubs. A total of 600 places are available. The minimum age is 16 years on race day.

Course, entry and race-day details

The route is on narrow tarmac country roads except for the start/finish area, which is in a field. The course is undulating and has mile markers and two water stations. There is a medal for each finisher and a tea and cake stall at the start/finish area. An optional tech T-shirt is available for £13 if ordered before the stated cutoff, with additional postage charged after that date. Entry is handled through Entry Central; the entry fee shown for the discounted period is £17 (affiliated) and £19 (unaffiliated). A service charge of 4% (minimum 50p) applies to each sign-up. Numbers are collected on race day and will not be posted in advance; entries may be transferred to a substitute with organiser approval.
