The TARC Blue Hills Skyline Trail Run is a trail race held on Saturday, June 21 in Milton, Massachusetts. The start and finish are at the Blue Hills Ski Area parking lot, 1904 Canton Avenue. The event distance is 12K with approximately 2,300 feet of climbing.

Course and terrain

The course follows the Accord Path and the Blue Hills Reservation North and South Skyline Trail, including the ascent to Great Blue Hill and out-and-back sections near Buck Hill. Terrain is rocky, steep, and technical, with stair climbs and rock descents. Scenic views of the Boston skyline are visible at points along the route.

Navigation and aid

Course markings consist only of the Skyline blazes. Participants are expected to know the course and may download the GPX file or print the map beforehand. There is one aid station at a road crossing that is passed twice, and aid at the start/finish. Due to limited aid, participants are required to carry hydration packs or handheld bottles.

Logistics and policies

Parking is available at the Blue Hills Ski Area parking lot at the start/finish. The event has a Leave No Trace policy. The race is held on land home to the Pokanoket Nation, descendants of the Wompanoag people.
