Tails and Trails 5K

Tails and Trails 5K is a trail run and walk that raises funds for Friends Forever Animal Rescue, a New York State-registered 501(c)(3) organization. The event takes place at CCC Camp - Winona Forest in Mannsville, NY on October 4, 2026. The course is entirely off pavement, follows a variety of trails and terrain, and is described as well marked, maintained, and non-technical. Registration is limited to 100 participants and fees are non-refundable; race-day registration is available only if the participant limit has not been reached.

Organizers request that each participant consider an additional donation; suggested donation amounts are offered during registration and the proceeds benefit Friends Forever Animal Rescue. Family pricing is available for the 5K entry and registrations include the post-race barbecue. Amenities at the venue include portable toilets and a post-race BBQ with burgers, hot dogs, and assorted sides. Participants receive a custom Tails and Trails 5K bib, professional timing and results, and awards for the top three overall male and female finishers.

Friendly, non-aggressive dogs are permitted on leash in accordance with NYS DEC rules; cani-cross-style competition with a leashed dog is not permitted and handlers bringing dogs are asked to stay toward the rear of the field. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
