Winona Forest's Chase The Day Trail Ultra, Mannsville NY
Winona Forest's Chase The Day is a timed trail ultra with multiple participation options held at the Winona Forest CCC Camp in Mannsville, NY. The event runs on a looped trail measuring 2.65 miles per lap. The trail is described as very well maintained, non-technical, smooth, and without significant elevation changes.
Available formats include:
- 6 Hour Trail Ultra
- 12 Hour Trail Ultra
- 24 Hour Trail Ultra
- 3 Person Team, applied to the 24 Hour option
Competitive results are based on the number of laps completed within the participant’s chosen time, with ties broken by who reached that lap count faster. Participants may set up a personal aid station near the start/finish area on a first come, first served basis. There will be one manned aid station offering typical ultra nutrition, hot food options during the event, and Tailwind electrolyte products. Water coolers will be available on site through the weekend. The event is cup free so participants must supply their own bottle or cup.
Camping is permitted in the staging area under the event permit, with limited space for tents and parking for campervans and reasonably sized RVs in parking areas. Two porta-johns will be on site. The field is capped at 120 participants. For 24 hour runners, one pacer is allowed beginning 12 hours into the event. Packet pickup and personal station setup are available the day before and the morning of the event. Registration opens December 15, 2026, and signup by May 2 is required to receive the event hoodie.
