Winona Forest's Chase The Day Trail Ultra

Winona Forest's Chase The Day Trail Ultra is a timed trail event held in Mannsville, NY at the Winona Forest CCC Camp. Participants run repeated laps of a 2.65 mile loop that is described as well maintained, smooth, and non-technical with no significant elevation gains or descents.

Event formats include:

• 6 hour individual option
• 12 hour individual option
• 24 hour individual option
• 3 person team for the 24 hour option

Winners are those who complete the most laps in their chosen time block; ties are broken by who completed that lap total fastest. Lap counting requires checking in with the timer each time a runner enters the start/finish gate. The 24 hour option includes the possibility to attempt 100 miles; those who reach 100 miles within the 24 hour period receive a custom belt buckle.

Logistics note personal setup and support are allowed around the start/finish area with pop-up tents and personal aid stations on a first come, first served basis. One manned aid station near the staging area will offer typical ultra nutrition, hot foods, and Tailwind electrolyte. The event is cup free so participants should bring their own bottle or cup. Camping is permitted at the staging area beginning the day before the event; personal camp fires are not allowed. The event is capped at 120 participants.
