Winona Forest's Chase The Day Trail Ultra - May 15, 2027
This is a multi-hour trail event held at Winona Forest CCC Camp in Mannsville, NY, offering solo and team formats on a 2.65 mile loop. Course description: the loop is well maintained, non-technical, smooth, and has no significant elevation gains or descents.
Options include:
- 6 Hour Trail Ultra
- 12 Hour Trail Ultra
- 24 Hour Trail Ultra
- 24 Hour 3 person team
Racing format and results: participants run as many laps as they can within their chosen time. The winner is the person with the most laps; ties are broken by the faster time to reach that lap total. For the 24 hour team category the team with the most laps after 24 hours wins. For 24 hour runners one pacer is allowed after 12 hours into the event.
On-site support and logistics: there is one manned aid station near the start/finish offering typical ultra nutrition and hot foods, with Tailwind electrolyte products provided. Water coolers will be available on site; the event is cup free so participants should bring a bottle or cup. There will be porta-johns and parking free and close to the route. Personal aid stations and tents may be set up near the start/finish on a first come first served basis.
Camping: permit allows camping at the staging area and nearby CCC Camp locations; camp fires are not permitted and camping is limited to the permit window. The event is capped at 120 entrants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
