Course, aid, and safety

The course runs from the Upper Tahquamenon Falls to the Lower Tahquamenon Falls and back. The route crosses a pedestrian bridge, includes a counter-clockwise loop around the outermost island trail, and returns to the upper falls. The start and finish are near the trailhead just east of Tahquamenon Brewery. One aid station is located at the pedestrian bridge just before the four-mile mark and provides water, Gatorade, and snacks. Finish line food includes drinks, fruit, and packaged snacks.

The trail is technical with significant elevation changes and can be slippery depending on weather. Running with a dog or stroller is not allowed. Participants are required to carry a cellular device for emergencies. Runners who do not reach the aid station (pedestrian bridge) within 90 minutes will not be allowed to finish and must arrange shuttle pickup or other transport from the lower falls.
