Course and logistics

The route includes dirt forest roads and single-track trail through spruce swales, pine ridges, bogs, jack pine savannah, and areas with old-growth hemlock and yellow birch. Runners pass Lower Tahquamenon Falls about 9.5 miles into the 25K and finish near the top of the Upper Tahquamenon Falls. The 2026 50K is an out-and-back of the 25K course that starts at the Upper Falls parking lot.

Aid stations are located on course and are stocked with cold water, electrolyte drink, energy gels, and electrolytes. Runners are required to carry a 20 oz water bottle or other functional hydration system that can be refilled at aid stations. Packet pick-up is available at Paradise Lakefront Lodge the day before the race. Bus transportation is provided to the 25K and 10K start locations.
