Tahoe Rim Trail Endurance Runs
The Tahoe Rim Trail Endurance Runs is a multi-distance trail running event scheduled for July 17–18, 2027. Registration opens December 6, 2026. The event is organized as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and net proceeds support local community organizations, including the Tahoe Rim Trail Association, Lake Tahoe Nevada State Parks backcountry mountain bike patrol, Carson City High School cross-country team, Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation, and other local groups. Past events have exceeded $300,000 in donated proceeds.
Distances offered include:
- 100 Mile
- 100K
- 50K
- 23K
The 100K and 100 Mile races are ITRA qualifying events and award ITRA points: the 100 Mile carries 5 points, the 100K carries 4 points, and the 50K carries 3 points. Published time limits list the 100K at sub 20 hours and the 100M at sub 36 hours. The course uses sections of the Tahoe Rim Trail and has required permits from agencies such as Lake Tahoe Nevada State Parks, Diamond Peak Ski Resort, Carson City Open Space, Nevada Division of State Lands, and the USDA Forest Service Humboldt Toiyabe Ranger District. The start/finish location moved to Carson City in 2021.
Volunteers are an essential part of event operations. The race is hosted by the Tahoe Mountain Milers Running Club and is a member of trail and running organizations including the International Trail Running Association and the Road Runners Club of America.
