Tahoe Rim Trail Endurance Runs
The Tahoe Rim Trail Endurance Runs take place with start and finish in Carson City, Nevada. Races run on single-track trails and dirt roads through the Spooner backcountry, Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park, and Toiyabe National Forest, with extensive scenery of Lake Tahoe and the Great Basin valleys.
Distances include:
- 100 Mile
- 100K
- 50K
- 23K out-and-back to the final aid station
The 100-mile course includes approximately 20,000 feet of elevation gain. The final 17 miles are noted as very demanding and require a minimum of 2 liters of fluids. Live GPS tracking is provided for the 100 Mile, 100K and 50K events; the 23K will not have GPS tracking.
The TRTER 100 Mile and 100K are Western States qualifying races. The 100 Mile requires an official finish within a 36 hour cutoff. The 100K requires a finish within 20 hours; the course has a 24-hour time cutoff for an official finish. All 100-Mile entrants must meet specified qualification standards at the time of registration, verified by official race results from July 1, 2023 to the time of registration.
Fees listed are 100 Mile $350, 100K $250, 50K $155, 23K $85 plus fees. Registration closes July 1; trail work requirements and refund conditions apply for certain entrants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
