Event overview
The Table Rock Trail Challenge is a Last One Standing trail race held at Clark Reservation State Park in Jamesville, NY. The event is organized by Salt City Trail Racing in partnership with the park. The format uses repeated looped laps; the last runner to complete the last official lap within the cutoff is declared the winner. A post-race cookout is held for racers and volunteers; spectators may purchase cookout tickets.
Format, course, and policies
The race uses two looped courses:
- ~1.3 miles Course A: crushed gravel, slick table rock, dirt trails with rocks and roots, and some scrambles
- ~1.2 miles Course B: shorter loop that avoids the table rock and scramble sections
Racing begins on Course A for the first ten laps, with each lap cutoff reduced by 30 seconds per lap for Laps 1-10. From Lap 11 the race shifts to Course B; Laps 11-16 reduce by 30 seconds per lap. Laps 17-20 use a 12-minute lap cutoff. Beginning with Lap 21, the Race Director may reduce lap cutoffs further at their discretion until a single winner remains. The event is rain-or-shine and will be canceled or postponed only for extreme unsafe weather. No refunds are offered; one-year deferrals are available for pregnancy, injury, or volunteering, subject to volunteer slot availability.
