Event overview

The Sydney Trail Series stage at St Ives uses the trails of the St Ives Wildflower Gardens and nearby Ku-ring-gai National Park. The route includes steep and technical sections and scenic single trail along Cowan Creek. St Ives races are scheduled for 28 September 2025, 26 October 2025 and 23 November 2025. The start and finish area is located in Picnic Area 3 of the St Ives Showgrounds precinct, accessed from Mona Vale Road. There is parking available within the showgrounds. A post-race recovery station provides fruit, Tailwind Nutrition and water, and bacon and egg sandwiches are available from a BBQ. Presentation of prizes is held in the morning; participants must be present to receive a prize.

Courses and logistics

Distances offered at St Ives include:

  • 7 km / 7.5 km
  • 10 km / 10.5 km
  • 24 km
  • 30 km (available on the November event)

On-the-day entries are available. The 24 km course has a 3.5 hour cut-off at AS2 (Warrimoo Trail/Timbarra Rd) at 18.7 km; participants who miss this cut-off will be returned to the start/finish area. The 30 km course has a 4.5 hour cut-off at AS2 at 24.7 km; participants who miss this cut-off may be recorded with a 24 km result if they cross the finish. Continuing beyond cut-off points is at the participant's own risk and requires handing over the race bib and notifying staff.
