Sydney Trail Series overview

The Sydney Trail Series runs multiple trail race events at different Sydney-area locations across 2025 and early 2026. Entrants can register for single races or register for the whole series, with a discounted third-race fee of AUD 15 for the third race when signing up for the series. On-the-day entries are available. Post-race provisions include a recovery station with fruit, Tailwind Nutrition and water, plus bacon and egg sandwiches from a BBQ. Prize presentations are held after races and winners must be present to receive prizes.

St Ives - Spring Series

The St Ives events use trails in the St Ives Wildflower Gardens and parts of Ku-ring-gai National Park, including steep and technical sections and single-track along Cowan Creek. The start and finish area is in Picnic Area 3 of the St Ives Showgrounds precinct, accessed from Mona Vale Road, with parking available in the Showgrounds.

Cut-off rules for longer courses:

  • The 24 km course has a 3.5 hour cut off at AS2 (Warrimoo Trail/Timbarra Rd) at 18.7 km; runners not making this will be returned to the start/finish.
  • The 30 km course has a 4.5 hour cut off at AS2 at 24.7 km; runners missing this may be recorded with a 24 km result if they cross the finish line.

Manly Dam - Summer Series

Manly Dam events feature a start/finish area on the dam shore and a mix of technical single trails, waterfalls, fire trails and dam views.
