Sydney Trail Series - St Ives

St Ives - Spring Series (Sydney Trail Series 2025)

The St Ives rounds of the 2025 Sydney Trail Series take place in the St Ives Wildflower Gardens and nearby Ku-ring-gai National Park. The courses use a mix of trails, including steep and technical sections and scenic single track along Cowan Creek. Scheduled event dates at St Ives are 28 September 2025, 26 October 2025 and 23 November 2025.

Race details and logistics

Registration can be for a single race or for the whole series; a discounted third race fee applies when signing up for the full series. Long-course registration and bib collection times are listed per event day. Shorter-course registration and bib collection is available after the long-course start. On-the-day entries are available at least 20 minutes before a race.

The 24 km course has a 3.5 hour cut-off at AS2 (Warrimoo Trail / Timbarra Rd) at 18.7 km; runners who do not reach this point will be returned to the start/finish area. The 30 km course has a 4.5 hour cut-off at AS2 (Warrimoo Trail / Timbarra Rd) at 24.7 km; runners missing that cut-off may cross the finish and be recorded for the 24 km result. If a participant continues after missing a cut-off, they must hand over their race bib and notify staff and do so at their own risk.

A recovery station at the finish provides fruit, Tailwind Nutrition and water. Bacon and egg sandwiches will be available from a BBQ. Presentation of prizes is scheduled for around 9:30 am at the event; winners must be present to receive prizes. The start and finish area is in Picnic Area 3 of the St Ives Showgrounds precinct, accessed from Mona Vale Road, with parking available within the showgrounds.
