This event is held over two days in December and features a single-lap course through diverse natural landscapes. Participants navigate a route that includes waterfront trails, technical single tracks, and wider fire trails.

Course Details

The race covers a distance of 21 km with a total elevation gain and loss of 386 meters. The terrain includes varied sections such as technical segments requiring careful footing and open stretches for a steady stride. The route showcases natural features including a waterfall, lakeside views, and eucalypt forest canopies. To access certain parts of the reserve, the course involves multiple road crossings managed by marshals.

  • A water carrying capacity of at least 500ml.
  • One compression bandage.

There is a strict completion time limit of 4 hours. Aid stations are located at the 9.5 km and 14.5 km marks, providing water, energy drinks, fruit, and sweets.

Following the run, there is a community barbecue and a cafe on-site. The finish line is located near a swimming area in the lake. Parking is available on the streets surrounding the reserve.
