The Sydney Trail Half Marathon is a trail race held at Lake Parramatta Reserve in Sydney. The event is run over two days in December 2025 and uses a single-lap course. The distance is 21 KM with total elevation gain and loss of +386 m / -386 m. Entry is limited to 400 runners on each day. Entry fees are shown in three stages, from A$145 up to A$155 depending on registration stage.

Course and logistics

The route combines waterfront trails, technical single-track sections and fire trails. The course features a waterfall, lakeside views and eucalypt canopy, and requires several road crossings into Hunts Creek Reserve. Roads will have marshals to assist crossings. There is a strict 4 hour cutoff for the half marathon. A Garmin GPX and a Strava route are available for the course.

On-course services and requirements

Aid stations are located near the 9.5 km and 14.5 km marks, with an additional aid station at the finish. Näak Ultra Energy Drink Mix, water, fruits and lollies are provided at aid stations. The event is cupless, so athletes must carry their own cup, bottle or hydration system. Mandatory gear includes a fully charged mobile phone with working SIM, a compression bandage and water carrying capacity of 500 ml. Finishers receive a medal, bucket hat and a premium running singlet. Parking is available outside the lake and restrooms are near the start.
