Sydney Trail Half Marathon - Summer Edition
The Sydney Trail Half Marathon is a 21 km single-lap trail race held at Lake Parramatta Reserve on the weekend of Saturday 5 December and Sunday 6 December 2026. The course combines waterfront trails, technical single track and fire trails, and passes a waterfall, lakeside viewpoints and areas of eucalypt canopy. Total elevation change on the route is approximately +386 m and -386 m.
The event is presented by 180 Cadence and limits entries to 500 runners per day. The race is cupless; athletes must carry their own drinking vessel and a minimum water carrying capacity of 500 ml. Mandatory personal equipment includes a fully charged mobile phone and a compression bandage.
Aid support is provided on course with refreshment points located around the middle and later sections of the route and an aid point at the finish area. Näak Ultra Energy Drink Mix will be available at aid stations alongside fruit, lollies and water. There is a strict four hour cutoff for the half marathon.
Facilities and logistics are centred at Lake Parramatta. Parking is available just outside the lake and on surrounding streets; parking inside the lake area is not permitted. The start and finish are located at Lake Parramatta near the cafe and nearby restrooms. Bib collection occurs during race week and on race morning. A 180 Cadence gazebo provides bag drop; participants are asked not to leave valuables there.
Post-race items include a finishers medal, a bucket hat and free race photos. A post-race BBQ and cafe services are available at the finish area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
