Sydney Trail Half Marathon - Summer Edition
The Sydney Trail Half Marathon Summer Edition takes place at Lake Parramatta Reserve in Sydney on Saturday 5 December 2026 and Sunday 6 December 2026. The event is a single-lap 21 KM trail race with net elevation gain and loss of approximately +386 m / -386 m.
The course combines waterfront trails, technical single-track sections and wider fire trails. Runners pass a waterfall, lakeside viewpoints and areas under eucalypt canopy. Road crossings are required to access parts of the route; marshals will be stationed at crossings and runners are asked to look before crossing.
There is a strict four hour cutoff for the half marathon. One aid station serves the course at the 9.5 km and 14.5 km marks, with additional refreshments after the finish. Aid station supplies include an energy drink mix, water, fruit and lollies. The event is cupless; athletes must carry their own cup, bottle, flask or hydration vest. Mandatory gear required at all times includes a fully charged mobile phone with a live SIM card, a compression bandage and water carrying capacity of at least 500 ml.
Participants collect race bibs during race week or on race morning; bibs are not posted. Parking is available outside the lake and on surrounding streets; no parking is permitted inside the lake. Race capacity is limited to 500 runners per day. Post race provisions include a commemorative medal and bucket hat, a bag drop gazebo and a post race barbecue. The finish area is located next to a swimming area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
