Sydney Trail Half Marathon : Summer Edition (Lake Parramatta, December 2026)
The Sydney Trail Half Marathon Summer Edition is a single-lap trail race held at Lake Parramatta Reserve on Saturday 5 December and Sunday 6 December 2026. The course covers 21 KM with elevation gain and loss of +386 m / -386 m. It passes waterfront trails, technical single-track sections, fire trails, a waterfall, lakeside views and eucalypt canopy.
The event is limited to 500 runners per day and enforces a strict 4 hour cutoff for the half marathon. Aid stations are provided on course at approximately 9.5 km and 14.5 km, plus an aid station after the finish. On course provisions include Näak Ultra Energy Drink Mix, water, fruit and lollies.
Mandatory gear must be carried at all times and includes a fully charged mobile phone with a working SIM, a compression bandage, and water-carrying capacity of 500 ml. The race is cupless so each athlete must carry their own cup, bottle, flask or hydration vest. Road crossings are part of the route and will have marshals in place; runners should look before crossing and follow marshal directions.
Logistics at Lake Parramatta include parking outside the lake and on surrounding streets, nearby restroom facilities next to the start area, bib collection opportunities both during race week and on race morning, a bag drop at the 180 Cadence gazebo, and post-race items such as a commemorative medal and bucket hat.
