Bondi to Manly Ultra
The Bondi to Manly Ultra is an 80 km coastal ultramarathon in Sydney that runs from Bondi Pavilion to Manly Beach along the Bondi to Manly walking track. The route passes cliffs, harbour foreshore, national parks, notable city landmarks and cultural sites, and finishes at Manly Beach.
Event formats listed are:
- 80 km solo
- 2 x 40 km relay
- 4 x 20 km relay
Each relay option splits the same overall route into equal legs. The course is described in four numbered legs with distances and elevation gain:
- First leg : 19 km with 329 m elevation gain from Bondi Beach to Lyne Park, Rose Bay along cliff tops and the Hermitage Foreshore Walk.
- Second leg : 20 km with 360 m elevation gain from Lyne Park to Milson Park, North Sydney, passing Rushcutters Bay, the Royal Botanic Garden, Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge.
- Third leg : 23 km with 326 m elevation gain from Milson Park to Clontarf Reserve, hugging coastline and through red gum forest areas.
- Fourth leg : 18 km with 256 m elevation gain from Clontarf Reserve to Manly Beach via the Spit to Manly route and North Head Sanctuary.
The event is presented as a scenic urban coastal run showcasing Sydney Harbour and surrounding natural areas. Both solo and relay entries are currently sold out for the published event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
