The 54th Annual Switchback Scamper in Jim Thorpe, PA, offers a 10k Run and 5k Walk. The point-to-point course begins in Summit Hill, traversing two miles of streets, about 2.5 miles of gravel and grass trails, a short highway-to-trail section, and finishes on pavement at Match Chunk Lake Park. A key feature is the downhill trail on the former Switchback Railroad.

Transportation to the start is not provided, and start/finish safety is supported by a Summit Hill police escort at the start and ambulance/medical assistance at the finish.
