Survival of the F.I.T.test - 34 Hour Trail Ultra

The event takes place in Cumberland, Rhode Island on 10/03/2026 to 10/04/2026. The course is a 4.2 mile trail loop composed of roughly 50 percent smooth, non technical trails and 50 percent moderately technical sections with rocks and roots.

Race formats include timed entries for individuals and teams. Options listed by the organizer are:

  • 8 hours: individual entry, estimated 50K distance.
  • 12 hours: individual entry, estimated 100K distance.
  • 34 hours: individual entry or teams of 2, 3, or 4.

A pacer role is available; pacers may run during the event and are based in the start and finish area. A spacious, centrally located pit area allows participants to bring 10x10 canopy tents. Team registration does not require naming all teammates at the time of registration; changes are allowed up until the event start.

Awards are based on laps and total mileage. Team Total Mileage Medals are awarded at 150 miles (36 team laps), 200 miles (48 team laps), 250 miles (60 team laps), and 400 miles (96 team laps). Trail runs nearby

A trail run at Westport Rivers Vineyard & Winery on June 7, 2026, covering about 3 miles of mixed trails and finishing among the vines. The event includes dinner, wine, music and a souvenir wine glass, with BBQ only options available.

A loop based endurance race near Big River Management Area in West Greenwich, RI where runners must complete each circuit within 60 minutes to continue; laps repeat at one hour intervals until only one runner remains.

A family-friendly three-loop course of about 5 km through Natick Community Organic Farm with mixed trail, field and road surfaces. All participants receive a chicken medal and proceeds support the farm’s education and teen programs.

Three summer trail races at West Hill Dam in Uxbridge, MA, with well-marked wooded single and double-track courses, limited fields, age-group prizes, and a portion of fees donated to local food pantries.
