Summit 700 Trail Runs

The Summit 700 Trail Runs take place at Blue Mountain Resort in The Blue Mountains, Ontario. This mountain running event utilizes the resort's single-track trail network. Participants navigate varied terrain including forest paths, rock hopping, creek crossings, and root-filled sections.

A primary feature of the event is a timed 700-foot ascent of the Niagara Escarpment. The 2026 edition continues to offer a point-to-point ultra-marathon route. The event is hosted out of the South Base Lodge at Blue Mountain Resort.

Participants can choose from several distances:

  • 1.5 km : Kids race for ages 5 to 11.
  • 5 km : Trail run.
  • 10 km : Trail run.
  • 21 km : Trail run.
  • 50 km Ultra : Point-to-point course.
  • 50 km Relay : Team-based ultra-marathon.

The event features age group awards, specific finisher medals, and participant t-shirts. Post-race activities are held at an outdoor patio and include a BBQ and music.
