Summer Trail Fest Ultra

The Summer Trail Fest Ultra takes place at Sleepy Hollow State Park in Laingsburg, Michigan. This event features a course consisting of approximately 90% well-groomed trails with minimal technical terrain. The routes primarily use smooth singletrack paths that are marked for navigation.

Participants can choose from several distances:

  • 50 Mile
  • 50K
  • Half Marathon
  • 5 Mile

The event includes specialized categories such as Ruck Divisions for the 50K, Half Marathon, and 5 Mile distances. Virtual registration options are also available for those who cannot attend in person. For the ultra-distance events, the looped course format allows runners to access drop bags and meet with pacers.

Aid stations are positioned along the routes and are stocked with water, electrolytes, gels, and various food options. The event provides generous cutoff times for all distances, including a 15:18 per mile average pace for the 50 Mile and 21:43 per mile for the 50K.

The race day experience includes a post-race barbecue at the beach with burgers, hot dogs, and sides. Finisher medals from this event are designed to connect magnetically with medals from the Winter Trail Fest. Registered participants receive a race singlet, a bumper sticker, and access to professional photography and chip timing results. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
