Summer Solstice 10K and 5K at Beaver Creek
The Summer Solstice trail races take place in Beaver Creek, adjacent to the Centennial Lift and the Beaver Creek Chophouse on June 20, 2026. The event includes a kids fun run and two trail race distances that start and finish on the village grass lawn. The race benefits the Vail Valley Charitable Fund and is presented by Beaver Creek Resort and Beck Building Company.
Distances:
- 10K: 6.2 miles, 985 ft elevation gain
- 5K: 3.2 miles, 610 ft elevation gain
- Kid's Fun Run: youth course with on course obstacles
Course surfaces and profile are provided from the organizer GPX data. The 10K is primarily single track with some dirt and gravel roads; the 5K is a mix of single track and dirt and gravel roads. High and low points and maximum grade figures are available from the course statistics. The start route has been slightly rerouted and course markings are posted; physical maps are available at the race.
Aid stations supply water at all stops and Skratch hydration drink is offered. Organizers describe the series as minimal waste and encourage reusable hydration devices. After the race there are donuts, fresh fruit, a warm breakfast offering, and complimentary beer options for participants over 21 with bib and ID. Awards are given by gender and age group for both distances and all racers are entered in a post race raffle. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
