The Sugg Farm Ultra takes place on September 12, 2026, at Sugg Farm at Bass Lake Park in Holly Springs, NC. The race offers multiple trail distances and follows a 5-mile out-and-back loop on a mix of mulch, gravel, and singletrack trails with some hills. Registration opens on December 16, 2025, and closes on September 5, 2026. Spots are limited and the event has sold out in previous years. Refunds, bib transfers, and deferments are not offered.

Each lap is a 5-mile out-and-back. Runners complete four laps for 20 miles, eight laps for 40 miles, and ten laps for 50 miles. The course is not USATF certified, and distances may measure slightly longer than on most watches. Each distance has a 12-hour time limit.

Aid, pacers, and awards

There are two aid stations on the loop, including Start/Finish and a 2.5 mile turnaround aid station. Typical aid offerings include water, Tailwind, soda, fruit, candy, granola bars, bacon, pancakes, quesadillas, PB&J, avocado wraps, pizza, chips, and cookies. The event is cupless; runners must provide their own cup or hydration system. One pacer is allowed on the final lap; pacers must register and complete a waiver before registration closes and check in at the admin tent. Registered runners receive an event T-shirt and sticker; all finishers receive a medal. Special awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each distance. Run or hike at Raven Rock State Park on January 4 with a 5 mile run, 5 mile untimed hike, or a challenging 25K. Expect scenic creekside single track, rocky technical sections, medals for all finishers, and limited spots and parking.
